A row of tiny blue periwinkle flower charms encased in sterling silver. A simple, beautiful bracelet featuring images of a well loved wild flower.

~ Periwinkle ~
The ‘Vinca' species of periwinkle flower can be seen across parks, woodland and gardens and in UK, adding pretty splashes of blue wherever it grows. It has a distinctive whirl like pattern made by it's five delicate petals and the flower gives it's name to the pastel blue colour, periwinkle.
The periwinkle flower is an emblem of the Virgin Mary in Catholic Tradition. This might be a diminutive little bloom bit it's widely considered as a symbol of strength, friendship and longevity and is given to newlyweds in some cultures.


~ About the bracelet ~
This pretty blue flower bracelet contains 8 sterling silver charms containing minute photographs of periwinkle flowers.
Each little flower charm measures 8mm in diameter and contains a little glass pebble which enhances the shape of each flower. Similar jewellers use resin for this type of piece, however I find this can discolour over time. I like to make my charms with glass for greater shine, quality and longevity plus the weight it gives to the charms helping them to sit correctly within the piece. The pictures are sealed to keep the colour bright and allowing the bracelet to get wet without any damage to the pictures within the charms.
The charms are set into sterling silver with soldered silver links, a little Shutter Jewellery 'S' charm and a simple and stylish hook and eye fastening. The total length is 19.5cm or 7 1/2 inches. ~ Packaging ~
The bracelet comes presented in a selling black textured card gift box, ready to gift (or keep!) and to keep your jewellery clean and protected. It will arrive beautifully wrapped at no extra charge and comes complete with care instructions, anti tarnish slip, polishing cloth and information about the image used within the bracelet. All packaging is recycled or recyclable wherever possible and plastic waste is kept to minimum through the design and making process and and packaging.
