A little history: Joan of Arc is represented in front of the Château de Chinon where she met King Charles VII in 1429.
On the perimeter of the plates banners proclaim the words "GLORY" "HONOR" "FREEDOM" "HOMELAND".
on the 2 sides are depicted a knight balm, a halberd and a banner.
In the center, Jeanne has a sword at her side and holds her large white standard strewn with lilies. The Maid said that her standard was forty times more expensive than her sword.
Joan of Arc became a French patriotic symbol during the War of 1870, nicknamed "mother of the French nation."
All kinds of popular objects were then dedicated to him.
