Heinrich and Co - H&Co - Selb selling - Bavaria - Gold Encrusted Edge Soup Bowls - Vintage - Set of 3

I'm pleased to offer this beautiful set of 3 soup bowls. This set was made by Heinrich and Co. (H&Co.) in Selb, Bavaria in the selling 1930's. Each bowl has a white porcelain background with 2 bands of gold around the outer well. This is followed by a cream lip and finished with a beautiful gold encrusted rim. I love the slight color change in the lip that sets off the gold so very nicely. What an elegant way to entertain at a dinner, using for soup, salad, or table serving pieces.

Here's some history of Heinrich and Co:
Franz Heinrich started his porcelain painting business in Bavarian Selb in 1896. He constructed a mufffle kiln in his parent's house. Initially just one female worker was helping him. Five years later in 1901 he started producing own whiteware.

Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Selb became one of the largest porcelain producers in Germany. Franz Heinrich died in 1928. In 1929 Heinrich & Co took over another Selb factory, Gräf & Krippner. In 1930s there were 500 employees in the Heinrich factory.

In 1945 the company ably resumed production. In 1970s employment rose to 800. In 1976 Heinrich Porzellan GmbH became a part of Villeroy & Boch

Measurements: 7 1/2" in diameter.

Condition: Excellent condition, with no chips, flaws, cracks, stains, wear, scratches, or crazing. There are very light scrape marks on some of the 2 well gold bands, but these are surface only, not very noticeable, and do not go through to the china. The bottoms of the unglazed feet are very clean, with only a few slightly darker scrape spots. Please see photo.
