African Carving Mid Century Sculpture Tribal Style Wood Carving Vintage Mid Century/Eames Era African Tribal Man. This Flat Topped Fellow This great figure resembles Grace Jones (to me anyway) but I think he is actually a hand Drummer. He does have the same familiar hair style as the iconic 70s-80s Female Music Warrior Woman wore.I love the lines and look.

He is very simply Styled close to Minimalist in appearance, which displays beautifully in your Retro home. This Sculpture has such rich dark stain and is a nice weighty Mahogany or other dense wood.

If you love tribal African or Minimalist Mid Century Art, you will love this very eclectic figure.

The condition is great with some age or usage flaws, a small chip or two, and some crevice dust, as expected, but no problem areas or cracks to this playful and primitive wooden sculpture. The areas I mentioned are right for the age and use, and add more history.

Other details are mostly naturally occurring lines or indents in the wood itself. I think this cool piece has been kept well oiled.

Wood Type unknown- perhaps Rosewood or Mahogany (?) I have no idea which trees grow on the African continent.
