This listing is for the exact aquamarine crystal shown in the photos. It is selling 100% natural. This piece here comes from Befotaka Sud District Atsimo-Atsinanana Region Fianarantsoa Province in Madagascar. It weighs 2.636 grams / 13.18 carats and measures 31mm x 8.73mm x 5.18mm. It has a semi-tabular hexagonal shape. This prismatic beryl has a lovely light pastel blue color with slight greenish overtones. The one end of the crystal has some white-ish basal style zoned stripes. Light striations can be observed on the body, as well as some minor iron staining which can be removed. There is also some iron staining on top of both terminations. One termination is slightly tapered while the other exhibits a stepped formation that is rather steep. This technically makes the crystal a scepter. This is an excellent crystal for beryl collecting. It has features that are classic for this specific location. I acquired this crystal from a friend of mine who got them directly from the broker of the mining operation in Madagascar.
