DUE TO THE HANDMADE NATURE, COLOURS MAY SLIGHTLY VARY
Our beautiful textiles are hand-woven by Shipibo people in the Amazon. Only natural indigenous plant dyes are used.
The fabric can be used as a wall hanging or on an altar.
There are also Icaros, in the ancient language of the Shipibo people.
An Icaro is a shamanic power song learned from an elder shaman or spirits. They are used to communicate selling with the spirits of the natural world, to heal the sick, and to actually provoke certain kinds of visual displays or visions in those intoxicated with ayahuasca. The most important of these songs are those learned from the spirits themselves or those received in the dream visions which can follow an ayahuasca session.
Size 19cm
The items are completely handmade by a family of the Shipibo tribe in the Amazon jungle of Peru. The items they make are always of high quality and completely unique. I am committed to giving more than a fair trade price for each item made. This is a great way for us all to support the indigenous communities of the world whilst providing a way for tribes to hold onto their traditions.
