This gorgeous vintage big shawl dates back approximately to 1970s. Its design features a beautiful floral pattern of pink , lilac flowers and green leaves on snow white background with silk fringe.

These unique floral square shawls are called “hustka” in Ukrainian tradition. This is not just an accessory that protected from the sun or wind, but also a talisman and a valuable gift.
A scarf is a woman's amulet, because it protects her from all evil, distress, disease. Also Ukrainians have a custom, each girl gave an embroidered handkerchief, which symbolized true love, to her fiance. Today, a scarf is an indispensable element of clothing.
