You can almost hear her castanets and his haughty heel clicking! This pair were literally made for each other. The vintage brands of Roland Klumpe and Layna dolls, made in Spain, are now very collectible, especially when in this great condition The Señorita and Señor are full of exaggerated movement and expression - each face is individually hand painted with great humour.
Being 70 years old has not selling diminished their bright yellow and green co-ordinated clothing. Having been stored in a box for a long time they could do with a gentle sprucing up. Her petticoat has become stained, and a targeted steam clean might help. ( see photo). Otherwise they are in very good condition and stand up without aid.
