This is a beautiful Nippon Japanese teapot from the early 1900s. It is painted with white and gold, and features floral designs and stripes. It has a neat raised texture, possibly moriage.
The marking on the bottom reads "Hand Painted NIPPON." It is mark #114 in Van Patten's book. It is the tree crest of the Morimura family, also called the Spider Mark.
The teapot is in great condition with no chips or cracks selling. Some of the paint is a bit faded, but most of it is still bright and shiny.
