Contemporary batik is a pure outcome of creative print designers and highly talented batik artists. To add a modern look to a traditional technique we always develop and compose unique prints on natural fabrics like cotton, silk and linen. Each batik products selling in our shop is hand painted using wax and hand-died. They repeat same process over & over again to add different colors to the desired artwork so it's a time consuming and a sensitive task. Finally the fabric is boiled and dried in natural sunlight. Because of this manufacturing process each piece is unique to it's own even though the basic print is the same
Well if you love polka dot then you might love its sister oblong. I wanted to use oblong dots for a change. But the inspiration to this one came from looking at the shadows casted on my ceiling by the window drapes. I know the story doesn't make sense but its art!! right ;-)
