The Rise of Silas Lapham by William Dean Howells - Limited selling Editions Club Book Illustrated and Signed by Mimi Korach

This is a beautiful copy of the 1961 Limited Editions Club release of The Rise of Silas Lapham by William Dean Howells. This book has an introduction by Henry Steele Commager and the selling illustrations are done by Mimi Korach. This book is #32 of 1500 copies and is signed by illustrator Mimi Korach on the colophon.

The boards are covered in cream paper with a Victorian illustration. The illustration has multiple colors making the book stand out. The slipcover is paper with paper titling on the edge. This edition looks beautiful both in and out of the slipcase.

This book comes with a slipcase. The book is 11”x7.5”x1.5 and is 365 numbered pages. This book is from their 29th series in 1961.

The book is in Near Mint condition and still has the rice paper covering for the book. The slipcase shows some fading, wear, and rubbing from age and use. Overall, the slipcase is Very Good Plus as well. The original letter from the Limited Editions Club release of this book is laid in.
