Hand Painted selling Cow Bowl for Succulents, Brushes or Flowers in White Clay

This is a hand painted cow vase. She is wearing a blue dress and a leaf necklace. After painting the outside, it is covered in a clear glaze. The inside is glazed blue. It could be used to hold flowers, succulents, pens, rings, change or just for display. It is actually food safe, so you could also use it for breadsticks too. It is 5 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches across. The opening is 4 inches in diameter.

This style of animal is made from a slab of clay and then folded up to form the sides. When it is barely dry enough to handle, I alter it to form the body, shaping the feet by pushing the clay inward at the bottom. Some pieces have underglaze added for detail and are clear glazed while others just get coated in colored glaze. I like them to be whimsical and fun so I tend to play loose with shapes and colors. No one piece is ever exactly like the next, so they are all original and one selling of a kind.

I believe in recycling all of my packaging materials as to save on waste. What is inside the box is really pretty but the outside might be a box and packing paper I have received from someone else. I try and double box all of my pieces as much as possible for protection so they will also be heavier than normal. Since everything I create is one of a kind, I try and keep it as safe as I can while it is traveling to its new home.
