Baskets are timeless. This extra large vintage one is in a medium natural color. Usually called a gathering basket, it measures 20 1/2 inches long and 17 1/2 inches wide. It sits on an rectangle base that is 6 3/4 inches long and 6 inches wide. It is approximately 15 inches tall. The generous, sturdy, wide handle measures 31 inches long. It has a tight weave with larger twigs and a braided rim. It is in great vintage condition, the handle has some minor discoloration (see all pictures) and there are 4 nails that stick thru the basket from where the base was attached (see last picture) this is very commons. The large size makes this basket so useful, perfect for gathering vegetables, fruit, and flowers. Works great as a magazine holder, storage for blankets/throws, and towel/toilet paper holder in the bathroom. Perfect for wedding decor as well.
