This is such a lovely print of one of my original designs, one of my favorites. (Note that framing and mat are for display only and not included in this listing.)

The ORIGINAL is a TRADITIONAL BATIK that I created for the 2019 Open Studios Tour in Santa Cruz County, CA. My prints are created entirely by me.

I print the design directly onto fine, silk Habotai that is 8.5" x 11". The silk print is paper-backed which keeps it nicely flat. The print will come to you with a foam core backing and in a plastic sleeve. There is also a back "page" with some information about the egret, the BATIK process, and me (swipe through the pics to see). This is a gorgeous SILK PRINT which I will create for you. Print fits within an 8.5" X 11" frame and comes with a 1/4" white border all around.

Batik is a process of dying fabric and painting with wax. The design is created by alternating hot wax and liquid dyes. The fabric is slowly filled with wax and dyes as different colors are "saved" by the wax. .

This is not only a spectacular design but the actual printing on the silk is gorgeous: rich warm tones, golds to reds, very lovely. It is perfect for that lover of the magnificent Great Egret. This particular design is loved by all. Silk is perfect for celebrating that 12th anniversary or for any special occasion. This is truly a lovely gift. There is something quite special about receiving such a unique, original design! It is not something you will find anywhere else. It is just lovely framed.
